Theodore Perl, M.D. established Corneal Associates of New Jersey in 1983. Corneal Associates concentrates exclusively on the treatment of corneal and external ocular diseases; refractive surgery and cornea transplant surgery. All the doctors are specialty fellowship trained.
Corneal Associates has performed over 6,000 cornea transplants, averaging approximately 300 per year. Since the FDA approved LASIK, Corneal Associates has successfully completed over 12,000 LASIK procedures.
Corneal Associates is one of the few practices in the country that offer a one-year Cornea and Refractive Fellowship program for ophthalmologists seeking subspecialtization in corneal and refractive surgery. Dr. Perl began the Fellowship Program fifteen years ago and has taught numerous ophthalmologists.
Corneal Associates has provided corneal and refractive services to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
