Theodore Perl, M.D.
Theodore Perl, M.D., is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist with subspecialty fellowship training in corneal and refractive surgery. After completing his Doctor of Medicine degree at the Chicago Medical School, Dr. Perl completed an ophthalmology residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center, and graduate training at Harvard Medical School. He completed a two-year fellowship in corneal and refractive surgery at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Perl has published numerous articles, co-authored chapters in books, and lectured nationally and internationally at many professional conferences on corneal and refractive problems.
Dr. Perl's practice is limited to the treatment of external ocular diseases, refractive surgery and cornea transplant surgery. He has performed over 11,000 corneal and refractive procedures since 1980. He has been named one of New Jersey's "Top Docs" by New Jersey Monthly Magazine and VISX Inc. has named Dr. Perl one of their "Star Surgeons," placing him in the top 5% of high-volume LASIK surgeons nationwide.
One of Dr. Perl's hobbies is aviation. He has been flying for 35 years. He is an instrument rated commercial pilot who flies his King Air to professional meetings and seminars.
E. Lillian Cheng, M.D.
Along with corneal transplants and laser vision correction, Dr. Cheng also specializes in cataract surgery and premium lens implants.
Dr.Cheng is proficient in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.
Leonard Strulowitz, O.D.
Dr. Strulowitz has a long history in contact lens fitting and is one of the few doctors in the United States that limits his practice exclusively to the fitting of contact lenses. Due to his continued success in fitting patients with complex cases, people have come to him from all over the United States and around the world.
Dr. Strulowitz has earned many awards, including the “Scientific Achievement Award,” for his contributions to the field of contact lenses. He has appeared on television and radio, published numerous articles in professional journals and lectured extensively at national and international contact lens congresses.
His innovative and patented contact lens designs have enabled patients with Keratoconus to comfortably wear lenses and see clearly, avoiding corneal transplants. Patients with dry eyes or those who want to wear lenses comfortably all day, those in need of bifocals, and patients requiring Rigid Gas Permeable Lenses or cosmetic lenses can all rest easy in Dr. Strulowitz expert care.
